Trust first.
Care begins with reliability, accountability, and people families can feel comfortable welcoming into their homes.
Since 2006, Summit Home Health Care has worked to give individuals, families, and professionals something essential: dependable care delivered with skill, compassion, and respect.
Summit was founded in 2006 by Susan Katz, RN, around a concern at the heart of home care: when someone enters your home to care for a person you love, professional credentials alone are not enough. You need to be able to trust them.
That principle shaped Summit from the beginning. The organization grew from its New York roots into New Jersey while expanding the ways it supports people at home and in their communities.
Today, Summit NJ brings that same commitment to DDD support, private duty nursing, and home health aide services.
We won’t send someone into your home that we wouldn’t welcome into ours.
The standard behind Summit’s caregiver selection
Care begins with reliability, accountability, and people families can feel comfortable welcoming into their homes.
Plans are shaped around the person—their health needs, goals, routines, independence, and family circumstances.
Whether the need is home care, nursing, or community-based support, the goal is to help people live with greater comfort and choice.

Susan Katz has been a registered nurse since 1983 and earned a master’s degree in nursing in 1985. After years in healthcare, she founded Summit’s licensed New York agency in 2006 and expanded the organization into South Jersey in 2015.
That clinical background continues to influence Summit’s approach: understand the person, pay attention to the details, and build care around what will actually improve life at home and in the community.
